Make your Heaphy Track transport part of the adventure with Golden
Bay Air's Heaphy Track flights and shuttles!
Our scheduled Heaphy Track flights run daily from Wellington, Takaka,
Nelson and Karamea, with connecting shuttles to both the Brown Hut (Golden
Bay) and Kohaihai (Karamea) ends of the track. This allows you to book
your transport to walk the track in either direction.
You can also break your journey at any point—for example to overnight
in Takaka and/or Karamea.
If you are flexible with your dates, you may be able to take advantage of Golden Bay Air special fares which are available on repositioning legs of flights already booked. These fares are available to book online, or feel free to call or email us to enquire.
We recommend you check out the availability of your Heaphy transport
before you book your huts or campsites with the Department
of Conservation.

Heaphy Track Shuttle Bus Transfers
Golden Bay Air offers convenient shuttle bus transfers between Nelson, Takaka and Brown Hut on the Golden Bay end of the Heaphy Track. At the West Coast we book shuttles with Karamea Express to transport our passengers between Kohaihai amd Karamea to connect with our scheduled flights to Nelson, Takaka and Wellington.
We offer free pick-ups and drop-offs in selected accommodation and locations in Nelson, Nelson Airport, Takaka Visitor Centre and Takaka Airport.
Note we require a minimum of 2 seats booked on shuttles during peak season and 4 seats during off-peak season (see below for dates). Singles may join shuttles that are already booked. Check a list of shuttle specials that do not require a minimum number to book.

Heaphy Track Information
From ancient Beech forest to alpine tussock downlands to palm fringed
wild beaches, the Heaphy Track traverses a diverse range of landscapes
and vegetation. Though the longest of New Zealand's 10 Great Walks, the
track is well graded and achievable by anyone with moderate fitness.
Accommodation is of a high standard with three new huts built between
2012-2014.
